8th to 14th June 2026 Newly Formed Companies Data

During the week of 8th to 14th June 2026, there were 6,338 companies formed in the UK with addresses that have valid postcodes associated with them. This is a 56.9% decrease on last week's total of 14,689 and 56.1% down on an average week of 14,437. However this is not as bad as you think because Companies House paused formations on Wednesday 10th June and they didn't resume again until the middle of the following week - basically 5 days of inactivity. You can see the details about this in the Companies House downtime post. The following week will be up because they did a Herculean effort and doubled the number of companies they process per day to well over 5,000 and actually nearly 6,000 in a day. The only other times I've seen this quantity of companies formed was prior to the main Companies House price rises - firstly from £10 to £50 and then from £50 to £100 as everyone who wanted to get a company formed suddenly realised they could save themselves either £40 or £50 by doing it before the price rise came in - April 2024, prior to the May price rise saw very nearly 100,000 companies formed in the month !

An average week looks at the last 12 months and works out an average daily quantity, then multiplies by 7 to get an average weekly quantity.

Below are the top 50 areas of the country where companies have been formed. If you would like to market to these companies on a next working day basis see our newly formed companies marketing system . You can filter companies by geographic location, or business category (SIC code), plus many other data points to target businesses before anyone else does.
