Privacy Policy

How we protect your privacy

Introduction

Mobunti Limited is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers. We are registered under the Data Protection Act, registration number Z8397997 and conform to its requirements. This policy explains how we use and protect the information that you provide us with.

THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE USE IT

When you register with us, you provide us with information including your name, company name, address, telephone number, and email address, and, if you place an order with us, your credit card number and expiry date. We ask for this information so that we can create your online account and deal with the instructions you give us. You will be contacted by email and possibly telephone relating to your order and will be given options to opt out of any e-mailings that are subscribed to.

Your credit card details are NOT stored in any form by Mobunti Limited but are instead processed remotely via our secure links to bank approved card processing facilities. This means that you will need to provide your card details for each transaction you place with us unless you put funds on account in advance to cover multiple orders, or we give you a credit account (with a direct debit setup).

We may also monitor website usage on a statistical basis to enable us to develop the services we provide. These statistics may be handled by external third parties (i.e. Google Analytics) but will not include any information that could be used to identify any individuals.

If any of the information that you have provided to Mobunti Limited changes, for example if you change your e-mail address, name etc, you should log into your account and update your details.

We do not give out or reset passwords over the telephone. A web page is made available to allow you to supply your email address and receive replacement password details to that email address. If you do not know the email address, you will be requested to confirm some details about the account before a password recovery option is enabled by our staff. The email will then be with you moments later. Requests to send a notification to a different email address will only be carried out if you can confirm multiple details about the existing account for us to be sure you are the account holder. This may require postal interaction for signed authority if we cannot identify your association with the account in question.

SECURITY

The internet is not a secure medium. However we have put in place various security procedures as set out in this policy.

The server that provides the services offered by Mobunti Limited runs on a Linux operating system which is continually monitored and all available security maintenance is carried out as and when required. The website is operated entirely through an SSL security certificate so that every element of your interactions with our site are secure.

The internal procedures of Mobunti Limited cover the confidential storage, access and disclosure of your information.

SALE OF BUSINESS

If this business is sold or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners.

YOUR CONSENT

By submitting your information you consent to the use of that information as set out in this policy. If we change our privacy policy we will post the changes on this page, and may place notices on other pages of the website. It is your responsibility to check this policy on a regular basis. We will also e-mail you should we make any changes to the information we gather or the processes we apply to it so that you may consent to our use of your information in that way.

COOKIES

A European law came into force on 26th May 2011 relating to cookies and obtaining informed consent. Initial guidance seemed to require a positive action on behalf of you the customer, however more recent guidelines from the information commissioners office seems to suggest an explanation of what is used and how it is used allows you to then consent to the use of our site by continuing to use it. We are therefore updating our privacy policy to make you aware of the change. Cookies are small files stored by your browser on your computer to allow our website to remember certain settings. We believe Europe's aim was to prevent the unsolicited tracking of preferences to particular products or services as you click on various adverts (customer profiling) and not to prevent legitimate use.

A cookie stores information, temporarily on your computer to allow a system to identify whether you are currently logged in, for example. These are "session" cookies, which only stay accessible for the duration of your web browser being open. Our system stores a unique but random number - which changes every time you visit us. We use this to tie up with your user details when you are logged in. Without this type of cookie, no login system on the internet could work. We do not store usernames, passwords, payment details or any other personal details in the cookie. We also store an indication to confirm you have seen the "cookie popup" (otherwise you would see it on every page!). Finally, we make use of the very popular Google Analytics system. This is a summary reporting tool. No personal details are stored by Google's code. It stores details such as whether you are a repeat visitor and how you got to our site - i.e. did you come from a search engine or did you come directly to our site by typing in our domain name. No traceable information as to who you are is stored. Browser security means that no other website has access to the meaningless data stored, either by us or Google. By making use of our website, you agree to accept the non-essential cookies which help in your browsing experience, unless you set your browser to reject them. Based on current internet technologies, rejecting all cookies will prevent you from logging into our system. For more detailed information on how to manage or disable cookies, please go to http://www.aboutcookies.org.
